Worship

First Christian Church is a body of believers who loves to worship together.  Every Sunday we offer three opportunities for the church to worship with one another.

At 8:00 a.m. we offer a traditional style of worship consisting of older church hymns with the singing being led by one leader using piano and organ accompaniment.  Our 10:30 service blends some of the older style music (occasionally with a more contemporary beat or arrangement) with some newer worship songs.  This service is led by a team of vocalists and is generally accompanied by a piano, keyboard, guitar, drums and bass guitar.  The sermon delivered in both of these services is the same.

Our adult choir, (a volunteer group which is always open to receiving new members and has no auditions) sings in the 10:30 service most Sundays during the school year.  Music styles for the choir are extremely varied with rehearsals being Wednesday evenings at 7:30 in the choir room.

At 5:30 p.m. there is a small worship service in the choir room with a variety of speakers throughout each month.  In this service we still use hymnals with piano (occasionally a cappella) accompaniment.
