Welcome! The vision of Sullivan First Christian Church is built on the foundation of the Word of God. We seek to help each person grow spiritually through a three-phase process:

  1. Connect with God
  2. Connect with Others
  3. Connect in Worship

Proverbs 29:18
“Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Sullivan First Christian fully believes in the promise of the Lord and the need to continue to provide a
place of prayer and worship in these overwhelming days. With the recent news, updates, and
recommendations that have come from the President, the Governor, and the CDC then we have made
the decision that it is in the best interest for the safety and welfare of our people to transition to an online platform of prayer and worship for this Sunday, March 22, 2020 which will take place at 10:30 a.m.

WHAT DOES THIS TRANSITION MEAN FOR ME?

You may ask the question: What does this transition mean for me? We understand that nothing can take
the place of a person-to-person church service, but we will strive to make this Sunday a time of great
praise, worship, and prayer. Here are some things that we are doing to make the new online platform a
great option for worship and praise.
  • Online Service ONLY at 10:30 a.m. – We will not have a person-to-person worship service on Sunday
March 22, 2020. We will only have a LIVE online service which will only take place at 10:30 a.m.
This can be viewed here on our website at https://www.sullivanfcc.org/live/ or you can join us on
Facebook. You can also listen to the 10:30 a.m. service live on the radio at 95.3 WNDI.
  • New Digital Resources – We also understand that connecting with one another through study and
prayer is critical in the life of a Christian. This is why we have dedicated a new resource on our
website to aid you in your walk during this time. This portion of our website will consist of new
digital resources such as sermons, podcasts, Bible studies, and articles of interest that you can
share with one another or utilize as an individual during this time. This new resource can be
    found on our website.
  • 21 Day Prayer Guide – The most important work that we can accomplish during times of uncertainty
is to stay focused on prayer. We have put together a 21 Day Prayer Guide that you can utilize
during this time which will be released in 7 Day sections throughout the next 21 Days.

HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP

  • STEP #1 – Pray for your church, family, community, country and those directly affected by COVID-19. Pray for the health care workers who are treating the sick and those public health administrators making difficult decisions. Pray that God would protect our community from further spread of the virus.
  • STEP #2 – Reflect Christ. In these anxious days, the church (all of us) can shine as a light of hope, care, faith, patience, and prudence. We can demonstrate to the world how our faith provides true assurance against worry and fear.
  • STEP #3 – Practice recommended personal hygiene. Wash your hands frequently and stay home if you are sick.
  • STEP #4 – Continue to support your local church through tithes and offerings. We understand that this is a difficult time for every family emotionally, physically, and financially. Your giving helps us continue to spread the Gospel in our community and beyond. It also helps us continue to minister to those that are impacted socially and economically in this time. One great option to continue your giving can be found by CLICKING HERE.

FCC thanks you for your continual prayer and support as we regular monitor the news and updates from state and local health agencies regarding COVID-19. Our desire is to care for the entire well-being of the individuals and families who worship at Sullivan First Christian Church—which includes physical as well as spiritual health. Any schedule changes or cancellations continue to be posted on our website and Facebook page.

Finally, we continue to pray for the safety and well-being of all, especially in those areas that have already been hard-hit by the Coronavirus. May God continue to fill you with peace and hope, in the midst this season for our country and our world!

In Christ,
Dr. Timothy Lueking, Senior MinisterSullivan First Christian Church

Each of us are feeling the impact of this global pandemic in different ways from the effect of the stock market to groceries and cleaning supplies to our personal health. Even though we face many obstacles in life, this is one obstacle that has taken many people by surprise and has seemingly robbed them of peace.

During a time, such as this, the questions that weigh heavy on the mind of many are simple:

  • How should we respond as Christians?
  • How are we responding at First Christian Church?
CLICK HERE or on the image to the left for more information on these two questions and how Sullivan First Christian Church is responding to this situation.

For the time being, we do not have plans to suspend any Sunday activities. Creating a place for worship and prayer is more important now than ever. If you are distancing yourself from public spaces at this time, we hope you will follow our services live every Sunday at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM. As found here on our website, https://www.sullivanfcc.org/live/ or join us on Facebook. You can also listen to the 10:30 a.m. serice live on the radio at 95.3 WNDI.

Wednesday Nights
All services have been cancelled until further notice.
Stay tuned for updates here on our website and on our Facebook page.

Wednesday Nights @ 6:30pm in room A102

We all know it’s important to study God’s Word. But sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. What’s more, a lack of time, emotionally driven approaches, and past frustrations can erode our resolve to keep growing in our knowledge of Scripture. How can we, as Christian women, keep our focus and sustain our passion when reading the Bible? Offering a clear and concise plan to help women go deeper in their study of Scripture, this book will equip you to engage God’s Word in a way that trains your mind and transforms your heart.

The R12 Project: Think Like Jesus
Wednesday Nights @ 6:30pm in room WC100

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to think like Jesus? This 12 week study will help you learn to do just that by learning to develop a better Biblical Worldview. It is based off of Paul’s advice to the church in Romans 12:2 where he reminds followers of Christ: “Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
